Global Energy Solutions was created in 1996 by Gregory W. Smith, building on 22-year career in HVAC and energy management. His vision for the company was the basis for its name—creating innovative, cost-effective and energy-saving solutions for the HVAC and power markets.

Mr. Smith earned his BSIE from Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta and his MEM (Masters of Engineering Management) from Northwestern University in Evanston, IL. In addition, he completed resident training for sales engineers through the Trane Company, LaCrosse, WI.
